Store Managers

The Store Manager role within Harvey Norman is different to that of probably any other large retailer. We have four exciting departments: Computers, Electrical, Bedding and Furniture with a Store Manager per department for each store. Our culture is bottom up rather than top down so our Store Managers are the key leaders in our business. It’s critical that they are strategic, detail oriented, customer focused, results driven and are motivated to help others win.

A typical day could involve aiding customer with returns or exchanges, helping set up a customer’s device, repairing a damaged or faulty device, educating a customer about technology and helping them get the most from their devise. Every day is a school day and that’s what makes Lovetech an exciting and interesting department to be involved with.

There are countless opportunities to learn and develop both personally and professionally. Some of the best ideas we have implemented in our business have come from our Lovetech teams own initiative. Visual Merchandisers

Working in Visual Merchandising, no day is ever the same. The day normally starts with a floor walk and planning moves to create a look that replicates our current catalogue or installing a look for an event that is happening in the store.

This job is ideal for people who enjoy interior design and are interested in working in the field of visual display. The best thing about working in this role is the freedom and encouragement given to be creative and you have the unique opportunity to be a part of a brilliant, collaborative, artistic team. Another exciting part of this role is the photo shoots and seeing the looks created by the team come to life. The excitement in the team the day the catalogue is published is fantastic.

Backdock Operatives

A Back Dock Operative role is a key function of our business. The Operative is responsible for the running and upkeep of a clean and tidy back dock, while also maintaining a safe and secure working environment. Back Dock Operatives are often a point of contact for customers collecting their goods and therefore the highest standards of customer service must be provided. High attention to detail is required to ensure that stock is in order, deliveries and goods outwards are correct and all paperwork and records are accurate.

Interacting with customers, suppliers, store and warehouse staff means that efficiency and effective communication is imperative. The Back Dock Operative also plays a critical and trusted security role in protecting the stock of Harvey Norman, while also ensuring we are responsibly managing the store waste and recyclable materials.
